The Local Implementation Plan (LIP) is the Council’s transport strategy and delivery plan. Following publication of the Mayor of London’s Transport Strategy, local authorities are required to prepare a new LIP submission to Transport for London (TfL).
The Cabinet will be asked to approve the draft Borough LIP for public consultation, which will include details of proposed plan objectives, delivery programmes and monitoring arrangements covering the period from 2019/20 to 2021/22. The outcome of the public consultation will be reported to the Cabinet and Assembly in January 2019 as part of the approval of the formal LIP submission to TfL.
The Cabinet resolved to:
(i) Approve the draft LIP3, as set out at Appendix 1 to the report, for submission to TfL and for officers to undertake a five-week period of public consultation on the draft plan;
(ii) Approve the Annual Spending Submission (ASS) for 2019/20, as set out at Appendix 2 to the report, for submission to TfL; and
(iii) Agree that further work be undertaken to determine the priority of, and to establish, a lobbying / funding strategy for the major transport schemes listed in the draft LIP3.
