The Board is required to review and approve the Crisis Care Concordat Action Plan.
The Action Plan is based on national policy to improve the way in which people experiencing mental health crisis are supported before during and after the crisis. It has been developed with the Mental Health Sub–Group of the Health and Wellbeing Board, which includes providers, commissioners and service user representatives.
Decision:
The Board:
(i) Noted the new requirements for CCGs in relation to mental health access and waiting time standards;
(ii) Commented on the priorities set out in the paper and associated issues; and
(iii) Approved the Crisis Care Concordat Action Plan
