Minutes: Received a report setting out the recommendations of the Independent Review Panel into Members Allowances. The report also reminded Members of the need to produce a mandatory annual report concerning their activities, responsibilities and time input to carry out their duties as Councillors.
Agreed, to recommend the Assembly to agree the Members’ Allowances Scheme for 2004 / 2005, as set out in Appendix A to the report, with effect from 20 May 2004, in accordance with the recommendations of the Independent Review Panel. |

Minutes: Received a report setting out the main findings and recommendations for the Social Services and the Education, Arts and Libraries Departments arising from the multi agency review of services to safeguard children conducted by the Area Child Protection Committee (ACPC).
Agreed, in order to improve arrangements for safeguarding children, the action plans for the ACPC; the Social Services and the Education, Arts and Libraries Departments. |

Minutes: Received a report outlining the proposals contained in the draft economic development strategy, Sustaining Success, prepared by the London Development Agency (LDA) on behalf of the Mayor for London, along with a response prepared on behalf of the Council.
Agreed, in order to assist the Council to achieve its Community Priorities of “Regenerating the Local Economy” and “Improving Health, Housing and Social Care”, to endorse the Council’s response, as set out in the report, to the Mayor for London’s Draft Economic Development Strategy. |
