The Council adopted a new parks and open spaces strategy in 2017 which included a number of improvement masterplans for the Borough’s parks of strategic importance, of which Central Park is one.
The Cabinet will be asked to approve the implementation of the key elements of the masterplan for Central Park, which will be funded from the income raised by importing inert material into the park, to create a new landscape and facilities that will encourage more residents to participate in sport and informal recreation.
