The Cabinet will be presented with an update on the ‘School Streets’ trial programme, whereby roads outside schools are closed to general traffic during school drop-off and pick-up times to enhance children’s safety, and will be asked to approve the inclusion of further schools in the trial programme and arrangements for making schemes permanent in the future.
