Contract for Provision of New Community Equipment Service

Local Authorities in England have a statutory duty to plan for the provision of certain home-based services, including the provision of disability aids and “community equipment”, to meet the assessed eligible needs of residents in their area. In addition to being a statutory duty, the provision of community equipment is key to achieving local and health authority strategic objectives, efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

The Cabinet will be asked to approve the procurement strategy for a new Community Equipment service.
