By Minute 10 (20 June 2023), the Cabinet approved the B&D Energy Ltd Business Plan for 2023/24, a key element of which was the decarbonisation of B&D Energy’s heat network for Barking Town Centre. A grant of £6m has been awarded via the Government’s Heat Network Investment Programme towards the installation of a water source heat pump to support that key element and the Cabinet will be asked to approve relevant proposals to allow that work to proceed.
