George Carey Church of England Primary School opened in September 2011 and is located at the heart of the new and growing Barking Riverside development. Although George Carey is a faith school, it has open admissions to children of all faiths and those of none.
The school currently offers 78 part time Nursery places and three forms of entry into Reception, Year 1 and Year 2. One form of entry is offered in Years 3, 4, 5 and 6. When fully open, the school will have 90 places per year group from Reception to Year 6.
George Carey also has a 12 place 'Additional Resource Provision' (ARP) for children with Autistic Spectrum Disorders.
