Decision Maker: Cabinet

Decision status: Approved

Is Key decision?: Yes

Is subject to call in?: Yes

Decisions:

Received a report seeking approval to update the three-year rolling work programme for the Local Development Framework, known as the Local Development Scheme (LDS).

The main change to the current LDS was the revised adoption dates and other key milestones.  These had been revised to learn from emerging practice, and to reflect changes in staffing levels and resource availability.

Agreed, in order to comply with the Planning and Compulsory Purchase Act (2004) and expediate the process of bringing the Local Development Scheme into effect, to:

1.  The Revised Local Development Scheme as set out at Appendix 1 of the report;

2.  Approve the submission of the revised Local Development Scheme to the Secretary of State for approval;

3.  The revised Local Development Scheme coming into effect from the date at which the Government Office for London notifies the Council that the Secretary of State has signed it off; and

4.  Delegate authority to the Corporate Director of Regeneration to make any minor amendments as may be necessary to the revised Local Development Scheme , including any which may be recommended by Government Office for London  or the Planning Inspectorate, prior to it being submitted to the Secretary of State, and to make any further amendments as guided by the Secretary of State prior to bringing it into effect.
