Received a report describing the feedback from customers about existing green waste services, and the proposals for its improvement.

Agreed, in order to meet the Council’s community priority of ‘Making Barking and Dagenham Cleaner, Greener and Safer’, to:

1.  The improved fortnightly collection scheme;

2.  A discount of £5 per bin being provided from the Waste Performance and Efficiency Grant and residents paying the remaining cost of the bin;

3.  Residents who cannot use a bin paying £5 a year for 2 rolls of biodegradable sacks; and

4.  The procurement of bins through a Consortium Framework Agreement.
