Decision details

Received a report on the Barking and Havering Strategic Partnership Board’s Local Improvement Finance Trust (LIFT) Strategic Services Development Plan (SSDP) 2005, which sets out the Board’s proposals for primary and community health services for the area.  The 2005 Plan describes the vision of the local health community for a radically improved, modern, patient-centred service and details the progress that has been made since the original SSDP was published in 2002.

Discussed the efforts of the Council and the Barking and Dagenham Primary Care Trust in helping to secure the investment in new and improved primary health care facilities in the Borough in recent years.  Also noted that discussions are on-going regarding the location of the new facility in Barking Town Centre.

Agreed to endorse the Council’s support of the Board’s LIFT Strategic Services Development Plan, as appended to the report.
