Received a report on the proposed charge for the Council’s Careline service, which provides vulnerable residents with speedy telephonic assistance for emergency situations and aids independent living.

Agreed, in accordance with the recommendations of the Council’s Charging Policy Commission and to assist in achieving the Community Priority of ‘Improving Health, Housing and Social Care’, to a charge of £192.15 (£3.69 per week) for 2006/07 for the Careline service, an increase of 6.27%.
