Agreed.

Received a report on a proposed draft Regeneration Vision Statement, produced in response to last year’s Best Value Review of Regeneration.

Agreed, in order to help achieve the Community Priority of “Regenerating the Local Economy”, to adopt the Regeneration Vision Statement as appended to the report, subject to minor amendments.

Noted a report on the progress towards implementation of the single status agreement and the relationship between this process and the recent national pay settlement for staff covered by the National Joint Council for Local Government Services.

Appendix A to this report is private and confidential and is attached as Item 10

Further to Minute 20 (15 June 2004), noted the positive response from the Department of Work and Pensions to the Council’s Benefit Fraud Inspectorate Action Plan.

Agreed to exclude the public and press for the remainder of the meeting, as the business was confidential.
