Minutes: The Chair welcomed attendees to the meeting and stated that before hearing submissions from any party, he wished to invite the Council’s Legal Advisor to inform all those present of the advice provided to the Sub-committee on the Tier 2 restrictions imposed on the Borough of Barking in relation to the Covid-19 pandemic. The Legal Adviser to the Sub-committee stated that the current Tier 2 restrictions imposed a ban on the sale of food after 22:00 hours and that the Sub-committee must consider the application as against the legislation and regulations currently in force. The Chair asked the Applicant whether or not they wished to adjourn the application to a date after the current restrictions ended, and the Applicant confirmed that they wished for the hearing to be adjourned.
