The Riverside School is a new school located
in Barking Riverside which opened in September 2012 with an intake
of 120 Year 7 pupils and 120 Year 8 pupils. The school will grow
year on year.
Presently accommodated in a temporary building
in Thames Road, Barking, the school will move to a large newly
built campus on Renwick Road when the site is completed; the
anticipated opening date is September 2015, at which time the
school will grow to have an intake of 300 pupils in each year
group, providing 1,500 places for boys and girls for Years 7 to 11,
300 sixth form places together with specialist facilities providing
places for 160 pupils with Special Educational Needs aged 3 to
19.
