As part of its emerging Local Development Framework (LDF) the Council is preparing a Joint Waste Development Plan Document (DPD) in partnership with the other East London Waste Authority boroughs of Havering, Redbridge and Newham.
The Joint Waste DPD will deal with a number of issues relating to waste management, including how national and regional targets for recycling and composting will be met, how the Mayor’s waste management plans within the London Plan will be met and the criteria to be used to assess planning applications for new waste management facilities
