London Overground Gospel Oak to Barking Line - Extension to Barking Riverside

The delivery of a rail public transport to Barking Riverside is a key infrastructure requirement to deliver the potential set out in the Council’s Growth Strategy. The Greater London Authority (GLA) and Transport for London (TfL) are developing a business case to the Chancellor to part fund an extension of the Gospel Oak to Barking Line Overground Extension to Barking Riverside. The Cabinet will be presented with a report setting out the details of the business case and asked to support the rail proposal and its associated funding package.
