The Cabinet will be presented with a report on the current planning policy for the South Dagenham area, comprising Beam Park, the Ford Stamping Plant, Chequers Corner, Merrielands Crescent and Orion Park, and asked to approve revisions to the planning strategy for the area stemming from the Council’s Economic Development Study, in the light of the recent closure of the Stamping Plant and the GLA’s aim to have a clear strategy for Beam Park by 2016.
