As part of the 2015/16 budget preparation, the Cabinet agreed a saving based in principle on the transfer of the management and operation of the services provided by the Culture and Sport division and associated staff to a new culture and wellbeing trust, which it is proposed will be formed as a limited company with charitable status.
The Cabinet will be presented with a report setting out in more detail the different management vehicles that could be adopted as well as the scope of the services to be included to enable an informed decision on the preferred option can be made.
