Barking Housing Zone

By Minute 8 (4 August 2014), the Cabinet approved proposals to submit a bid for Barking town centre to become a London Housing Zone. 

 

In the event that the Council’s overall bid is approved by the GLA, the Cabinet will be asked to agree certain aspects to progress the schemes to be delivered as part of the approved bid and the entering into of various agreements with the GLA.  The report will also cover the opportunities for delivering permanent low cost home ownership in Barking Town Centre
