Revisions to the Care and Support Charging Policy

The Care Act 2014 introduces a single legal framework for care and support charges. In light of this, where the Act allows, a review is being undertaken of areas of local discretionary charging.

The Cabinet will be asked to agree proposals to maintain, change or introduce new areas of discretionary charging, and to agree plans to consult with residents on the proposals before agreeing a final revised Charging Policy for care and support in February 2016.
