The Assembly will be asked to adopt London Councils’ guidance relating to new powers in the London Local Authorities and Transport for London Act 2013 which would enable the Council to give building owners’ notice of plans to put up signs and lights on private buildings, as a way of reducing the need to erect lampposts and signposts on the pavement.
