The Cabinet will be asked to approve proposals for the Council, in partnership with British Cycling and other stakeholders, to develop cycling and related activities in the Borough, including the rejuvenation of the Old Dagenham Park (ODP) BMX facility into a cycling hub to maximise the use of the facility. The proposals will include the establishment of a Community Developer post to assist in the delivery of British Cycling’s strategy focus areas of “Work Together; Grow Communities; Cycling for Everyone” and its priorities ahead of the Summer Olympics in Paris in 2024.
