The Cabinet will be asked to approve the Barking and Dagenham Sufficiency Strategy for Looked After Children 2022-2025 which sets out how the Council, as Corporate Parent, will meet its statutory Sufficiency Duty under the Children Act 1989 to secure, as far as reasonably practicable, sufficient accommodation within the area to meet the needs of children who the Council looks after.
