Purpose:

One of the key roles of the Health and Wellbeing Board is to oversee the development, authorisation and publication of the Health and Wellbeing Strategy.  The Health and Wellbeing Strategy is the mechanism by which the Board addresses the needs identified in the Joint Strategic Needs Assessment (JSNA), setting out agreed priorities for collective action by the commissioners.  The current Health and Wellbeing Board Strategy is due to be refreshed in 2015. 

 

The final refreshed version of the Health and Wellbeing Strategy will be presented for approval.

Decision:

The Board:

 

(i)  The Board agreed to the Health and Wellbeing Strategy, Outcomes Framework and Delivery Plan 2015-18, as set out in the report, subject to the:

 

(a)  Provision of an strategy map showing responsibilities and priorities,

(b)  Inclusion of an overview, which acknowledged that tenant turnover in private rented accommodation could impact on health outcomes;

 

(ii)  At the instigation of the Chair, the Board also requested that the Strategy should be presented to the LBBD Cabinet, and the governing boards of the CCG,  BHRUT and NELFT so that they were all fully aware of the across the board implications.
